NORTH STAR LOFTS BUILDING RESTORATION

OVERVIEW
Restoration Systems was contracted in Spring of 2023 to perform exterior masonry and concrete rehabilitation at the historic North Star Lofts Building in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Restoration Systems Inc. worked closely with the City of Minneapolis and its Heritage Preservation Commission to ensure the project met and followed the Minneapolis Warehouse Historic Design Guidelines and the rehabilitation guidelines of The Secretary of the Interior’s Standards for the Treatment of Historic Properties. The extent of the repairs consisted of removing and tucking back exterior mortar, new installation of thru-wall flashing, brick replacement on the building’s exterior, and concrete patching.
